About us
Avyanna Shashaktikaran Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities through science, innovation, research, and sustainable development. The Foundation works to bridge traditional knowledge with modern scientific advancements by promoting medicinal mushroom cultivation, millet innovation, biotechnology, tribal empowerment, and research-driven entrepreneurship. Our mission is to create sustainable livelihood opportunities, strengthen rural economies, and encourage environmentally responsible practices through education, capacity building, and technological innovation.
The Foundation actively promotes the scientific cultivation and value addition of medicinal and functional mushrooms, including Cordyceps militaris, Lion's Mane, Reishi, Turkey Tail, Shiitake, Enoki, and other emerging species. Through research, biotechnology, and sustainable cultivation practices, we strive to develop innovative solutions that support health, nutrition, agriculture, and rural enterprise. In parallel, we encourage millet-based innovations by developing nutritious products, promoting climate-resilient farming systems, and enhancing food security through research and value-added technologies.
A key focus of the Foundation is the empowerment of tribal and rural communities by providing skill development, entrepreneurship training, technology transfer, and livelihood enhancement programs. We believe that combining indigenous knowledge with scientific innovation can create inclusive growth, improve incomes, and preserve cultural and environmental heritage. Our initiatives aim to build self-reliant communities by supporting farmers, women entrepreneurs, youth, self-help groups, and aspiring innovators.
Innovation and research are at the heart of our work. We are engaged in biotechnology product development, natural product research, functional food innovation, and interdisciplinary scientific collaborations that address challenges in agriculture, healthcare, nutrition, and environmental sustainability. To promote knowledge sharing and scientific excellence, the Foundation organizes research training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and capacity-building initiatives for students, researchers, academicians, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and community organizations.
As part of our commitment to advancing scientific communication, Avyanna Shashaktikaran Foundation publishes the International Journal of Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences, a peer-reviewed academic journal that provides a platform for researchers across biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, microbiology, agriculture, environmental sciences, and allied disciplines to disseminate high-quality research and foster national and international collaboration.
Guided by the values of integrity, innovation, inclusiveness, sustainability, and scientific excellence, Avyanna Shashaktikaran Foundation is committed to building a future where knowledge empowers communities, innovation drives economic growth, and research contributes to a healthier, more sustainable world. Through partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, industry, and local communities, we continue to work towards creating lasting social, scientific, and environmental impact.
